The Writing Company
Hawkins Multimedia redeveloped The Writing Company's site using a content management system (CMS) to enable quick and easy updates using a web browser.
What we did:
The Writing Company was having a difficult time maintaining its old static HTML version of their website, so it hired Hawkins Multimedia to implement a content management system (CMS) to enable quick and easy updates using a web browser.
TWC wanted to keep their existing text-based design, but the underlying HTML markup was a bit of a mess. We started with a rewrite of the HTML/CSS and then set up the website with the MojoMotor content mananagement system. MojoMotor is developed by EllisLab, the same company behind ExpressioneEngine, and is the perfect solution for giving clients full control over simple websites.
The end result is a website that TWC can update themselves easily in their web browser, using a tool that requires very little in the way of a learning curve–If you can use a word processor, you can use MojoMotor!

Jeff came up with a simple and elegant solution for managing our company's website. A new platform and a few design tweaks made it easy to update and refresh the site's content and gave us much more control over what we put online. Through the process, Jeff was a total pleasure to work with. He listened to what we had to say, came up with smart ways to manage our site, and went above and beyond to clearly explain how the new site worked.
